Deepa Onkar is an Indian poet from the city of Chennai. She holds an M.Phil in English from the University of Hyderabad. Her poems have been published in The Lake, The Bombay Literary Magazine, The Indian Cultural Forum, Sparks of Calliope, Amethyst Review and elsewhere. Her poems are inspired by travel and the encounter with other cultures and the quiet observation of nature. Her other interests are painting and Indian music.
